Pragmatic Play’s New Slot, Death Dominion, Puts a Gothic Spin on Multiplier Mechanics

Pragmatic Play has released Death Dominion, a new online slot set in a gothic graveyard and built around a mechanic the studio calls the Doom symbol. The game combines large multipliers with an element of risk, since that same Doom symbol can just as easily wipe out the multipliers players have built up.

How the game works

Death Dominion runs on a 6×5 grid. During the base game, multipliers worth up to 100x can appear as symbols land. The Doom symbol adds a twist to this: at the end of a tumble sequence, it either turns into a random multiplier value or clears every multiplier currently active on the reels. That trade-off, more multiplier potential versus the risk of losing it all, is the core tension of the base game.

Landing four to six scatter symbols triggers the bonus round, which awards up to 20 free spins. In this mode, multiplier values can climb as high as 1,000x. Multipliers won during the feature accumulate into a running total that gets applied to every subsequent win, but a Doom symbol appearing during the bonus round resets that total back to zero.

There’s also a way to improve the odds going into the bonus round. If a player lands four or more scatters that include at least one Dominion or Immortal scatter, they unlock one of three enhanced versions of the bonus game. Depending on which one triggers, players get extra multipliers, the removal of the Doom symbol’s ability to zero out multipliers, or both advantages for the rest of the round.

Death Dominion joins Pragmatic Play’s existing catalog of gothic and horror-themed titles, pairing that visual style with tumble mechanics and escalating multipliers.
